Indian professionals in the UAE’s tech and innovation sectors are earning monthly salaries of up to Dh45,000, driven by growing demand in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, and digital transformation. According to Careernet Group, one of India’s leading talent solutions firms, this shift highlights the UAE’s rapid evolution into a global hub for technology and innovation.
Anshuman Das, CEO and co-founder of Careernet Group, revealed in an interview that Indian professionals working in mid- to senior-level roles within technology, product, and digital sectors in the UAE can earn two to three times more than they would in India. “Depending on their experience and role, professionals in these fields typically earn between Dh25,000 and Dh45,000 per month,” he said. Salaries for senior leadership or highly specialized roles can exceed that range.
He emphasized that today's professionals are looking for more than just a competitive salary. “Candidates are increasingly valuing relocation support, performance-based bonuses, career development opportunities, and international exposure,” Das noted. “The UAE ticks all these boxes, making it an attractive destination for long-term career growth.”
Besides salary, professionals benefit from the UAE’s tax-free income, which can enhance take-home pay by an additional 20 to 35 per cent. Many companies also offer comprehensive packages that include housing allowances, health insurance, and education benefits for employees’ families, significantly improving the overall quality of life.
Das highlighted a significant shift in the UAE’s job market, with growing interest in AI, Web3, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital finance. This change is fueling demand for experienced professionals, particularly those with backgrounds in startups or consulting. “These individuals bring agility, strategic thinking, and a wide skill set — all of which are essential in today’s fast-paced innovation-driven environment,” he explained.
Historically, Indian workers in the UAE found roles in sectors such as hospitality, oil and gas, and construction. However, the landscape has changed. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other major cities are now actively investing in high-growth sectors like AI, data science, and semiconductor engineering. This shift opens new doors for Indian talent aiming to build impactful, future-oriented careers.
Das also pointed out a growing trend among Indian professionals to view the UAE as a long-term career destination, rather than just a temporary assignment. With over 3.6 million Indian nationals living and working in the UAE, many are now choosing to settle down in the region due to attractive career opportunities, long-term residency options, and a growing knowledge economy.
To support this evolving talent landscape, Careernet Group has recently set up its regional headquarters in Dubai. “We see the Middle East not just as a market but as a strategic growth region,” Das said. “Having a local presence allows us to partner more closely with companies in the UAE and deliver end-to-end talent solutions that align with the region’s innovation agenda.”
In conclusion, as the UAE continues to invest heavily in emerging technologies and digital infrastructure, the demand for skilled professionals will only increase. For Indian professionals with experience in tech, consulting, and innovation, the UAE presents a unique opportunity to accelerate their careers while enjoying a high quality of life in one of the world’s most forward-thinking economies.
