The Legal Framework: According to Article 8 of the UAE's Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 (Employment Law) and Article 10(1) of Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, employment contracts must include specific details:
"Contracts require employer details, employee identification information, job description, start date, workplace location, working hours and rest days (if applicable), probation period (if any), contract duration agreed salary with benefits/allowances annual leave entitlement notice periods termination procedures plus any other Ministry-required relationship terms."

The law permits additional mutually-agreed clauses under Article10(2): "Parties may introduce new contractual terms provided they don't contradict Employment Law provisions this Resolution or other regulations."
